Art, Design and Technology
We offer children a varied art and design education, including learning about sculpture, painting, drawing, textiles, graphics, ceramics, printing and architecture as outlined in the National Curriculum. The children are taught one aspect each half-term throughout the year.
The process of art and design requires children to be involved in generating their ideas, planning, making and presenting their art and design work. Children in Year Four go to Glendower for art lessons in a specialist studio.
We regularly submit work which is successfully included in the borough-wide art exhibition which used to be held at Leighton House but is at The Tabernacle this year. Once a year the children are involved in a whole school Design and Technology project which culminates in an exhibition for parents and friends.
