Volunteering in School
We are always delighted to accept offers from parents and members of the community to help out in school activities. Volunteer roles include:
To enhance the learning experience of the pupils within the curriculum we are very keen to hear real life experiences from people who have stories to tell. From what it was like to flee as a refugee through to life as a firefighter. If you feel you can help to bring our curriculum alive, please contact the main reception desk or your child’s class teacher.
Off site activity helpers
As part of our engaging curriculum, the school has an array of off-site activities and trips. To ensure that we can continue to take children on these trips safely we regularly ask parents to volunteer as additional adults.
If you would like to assist our staff on any given trip, requests are normally made through the trip information as sent out by the class teacher.
School Fundraising Activities
Throughout the school year a number of activities are arranged to raise money for improvements to the school. To date these include, summer and Christmas and Easter fayres and more recently school disco’s. If you would like to get involved to support fundraising then please speak to the office staff.
We also may ask parents to support in special project groups on specific projects such as improving the school’s environment, painting benches and murals or planting and caring for window boxes.
